What's the difference between AS (Associates in Science) and AA (Associates in Art) degree?

My college has better (and more specific) offerings for AS than AA .. What is the REAL difference between the two? I already have an entry level job with a great company.. but which looks better for a job? Is it better to generalize yourself by getting a ';Business Admin'; degree or is it better to specialize ?
