What would you do If you were sick alot and lost your job?

Are there actually any real work at home jobs or are they almost always scams? Im a very good worker but Id be better off If I could either work at home or else be a driver for some company.Its hard because I live in a small town.There are not alot of options.I cant stand to work in a crowded spot because people always come to work sick and give it to me.But I am a hard worker and Im trustworthy. If anyone knows of a job I could investigate I would appreciate it.Even customer service would be fine.
